About Us:

Long Made Co. is a lighting studio based in Houston, Texas. Every light fixture is designed and meticulously handmade to order by us. What started as a way to outfit our home with a light turned into a love and eventually led to the creation of Long Made in 2015. As our unique collection grows, we draw on our inspiration of classic mid-century, industrial, modern and minimalist design, combined with a passion to make timeless heirloom quality products.

Long Made's obsession with quality and customer service have paid off. These days our small company is shipping all over the world, supplying fixtures for homes, boutique hotels, restaurants and more.

All of our designs are made with heavy gauge solid brass or steel and are hand crafted with unique in-house finishes.

Lead Time:

Every fixture is carefully made-to-order just for you! Because we are a small company, our lead times can vary depending on our current production backlog.

We offer rush shipping if needed for 20% of your order total. Please let us know if your project is on a tight deadline and we will let you know if rush shipping is needed based on the current backlog. Regardless, we always do our best to accommodate. We get it!

Trade Pricing:

Back when we originally set our prices, we decided to put our best price upfront for all and bypass the wholesale/retail model. Because of this, our final pricing can be found on our website. The best way to get a quote is to simply enter all the items you need into your shopping cart and it will calculate a total, including shipping based on your location and the final weight of the package. Shipping discounts are automatically given when ordering more than one item at a time. Whenever you are ready, you'll be able to submit your order there. We sell direct and only off this website.

Returns & Exchanges:

We accept returns and exchanges so you can order with peace of mind. However, since all lights are made to order just for you, orders of five or more items or custom fixtures are non-returnable. Previously installed fixtures are non-returnable. Because our lights are hand made just for you, a 15% restock fee is applied to all returns and shipping fees are non-refundable. Qualifying return or exchange requests must be submitted within 15 days of receiving the product. Items must be sent back within 30 days of delivery.

If a cancellation is needed please contact us within 24 hours of placing your order.

In the rare event your product arrives damaged, we will fix the issue at no cost to you. However, please keep original packaging and contact us within 24 hours. We may need photos of the boxes and product to file a claim with Fedex, USPS or UPS.

International Orders:

Compatibility: Our hardwired fixtures are rated for up to 240 volts unless noted otherwise. Plug-in fixtures come with North American shaped wall plugs that are rated for up to 120 volts. All fixtures come with E26 or GU10 sockets and wiring rated for up to 240 volts unless customized. We recommend discussing with your local electrician about what modifications may be needed in order to convert our North American fixtures for use in your country. If you are ordering a plug-in fixture you will need to have the wall plug swapped out by a qualified electrician locally and possibly have other modifications made.

Shipping: If you are within Canada, you will not have to pay Duty thanks to the North American Trade Agreement. We will include all the important paperwork on the package. We will ship your order via UPS. If you are outside of Canada & USA, our system will automatically collect and itemize at checkout the duties and taxes. Those will be prepaid by you for a smooth delivery. We will ship your order via DHL.

Be informed about your country's import fees/taxes if applicable and prepare to pay them upfront at checkout if they are itemized.

We ship international orders tracked and insured via UPS or DHL. Tracking numbers are provided at the time of shipment.

Bulb Selection:

We don't supply bulbs simply because there are so many options. We are happy to help you find the right bulb. Feel free to give us a call or text us at 713.305.7881. After a quick conversation we can help you narrow down which bulb and brand might be a good fit. We can even send you some links to outside bulb suppliers. All fixtures are stickered for LED-only with 11 watt max. That will get you a very bright bulb if needed.

Regarding our spot lights, there are a few important things to consider when picking a bulb. First, the light angle spread of the bulb. There's a big difference between a 10 degree spread and a 80 degree spread on a spotlight bulb. Most like something in the middle, between 30-60 degrees for general lighting, depending on the height of your ceiling. Some might want a tighter light beam, like 10-25 degrees, when something more specific is in mind like illuminating art on the wall or a table top/island. Wherever you land, if your uncertain we recommend getting a few spreads to try out in your space till you get it just right. Second, the color temperature/Kelvin range.

We recommend 2700 Kelvin in all of our fixtures for a nice warm tone. If you prefer a more white/cold light tone you can go higher to 3000+.

We encourage dimming. Dimming is such a nice feature to have on any light fixture. Make sure to get a dimmable LED bulb and to have wall switches that can dim LED bulbs. Our fixtures will not stand in the way of any dimming. Tip: to avoid flickering or dimming issues it is important to have the same type of bulb in a chain of lights attached to one wall switch. That is not unique to our fixtures, it's common practice.

UL Listing Third-party Service:

Many of our fixtures can be given a UL certification sticker for additional fees thru a third-party service option. Because not every project requires it, fixtures will not automatically come UL listed. Let us know if your project requires it and we will send a quote. Minimums apply.

All designs can be customized.

We offer various socket options including our standard E26 sockets, GU24, GU10, and European E27 sockets.

We offer a variety of finishes, including brushed live brass, many variations of oxidized brass and steel, a wide range of powder coated colors, polished and brushed nickle, raw/sealed/rusty steel, copper and aluminum, as well as various glass globe finishes.

Custom lengths and sizing as well as mounting/back plate options are also available.
